Castle Rock Lake / Flowage
Castle Rock Lake is Wisconsin's 4th largest lake with over 16,000 acres. It is known as the lake "where the action is", and offers something for everyone. You can get away from the boat traffic and take a leisurely trip to the Petenwell dam and even stop on a sand bar along the way for a picnic. The fishing is excellent with many out of the way areas to avoid the pleasure boaters. There are many great areas to waterski, tube, wakeboard, etc. There are also several beautiful sandy beaches for the public to use. Many, but not all of the lake developments have a 100' shoreline strip owned by the Wisconsin River Power Company (WRPCO).
